Creative problem solving for communications solutions for incarceration facilities
Corrections Network by Dolphinio is a program developed to enable correctional facilities to take control of the information that is delivered to the incarcerated individuals for which they are responsible. Some facilities have TV's in the housing units, yet often they do not have full control over what the inmates watch. We are dedicated to providing the tools needed to not only take control of the TV, but offer a system that also delivers information that the inmates need while they are incarcerated as well as information, training, and personal development that they can receive to help them when they return to society. The TV is a great tool. If it is on, they will watch it, no matter what is on. We wrap what they want to watch with what they need to see.
This work started as a simple effort to use a digital signage system to manage TV's and content and has expanded to include many different configurations that can provide a means to deliver many forms of information and different management options that could serve any facility, regardless of the facility size.
Knowing that content is important, we are constantly searching for content that is powerful for use within the facility to help facilities reach as many inmates as possible with programs that can give them the tools they need to make different decisions that will not only prevent them from coming back to the incarcerated environment, but will allow them to flourish in the new perspective of living and making a positive contribution in society.
Our tools also serve to assist in the management of the daily activities that occur within the facility. The TV is the authority, one they have trusted and known their whole life. It has no personality, no feelings. If the TV tells them to return to their cell or bunk, there is usually no argument, reducing opportunities for conflict. The role of the officer in the housing units is a difficult one of which we are grateful that individuals have chosen to serve. We hope to make that job easier.
The United States has the most incarcerated population in the world. If we can serve the effort to reduce that population and reduce the recidivism problem, we are on the right track. It is the center of our focus as a product and service provider. We look forward to serving you and your efforts to do the same.
